September Awareness Is Heart Intentional
September Awareness is a month of Heart Reflection, Awareness for this Heart, it is intentional and it’s time spent on where am I, reflecting on the memories, the lessons on the road behind, the plans for Today, and the Hope of tomorrow which includes the road before me. One of the things that came to mind and are a part of September’s Reflection, was my Husband Todd’s Funeral, which for me meant “transition” as a family we were celebrating his life intentionally on the day of the service, sharing stories of his time here with us. It allowed our hearts to share in memories and laughter at times while stories were shared. My position was grief was traveling alongside me from the moment the news was delivered that Todd would no longer travel the road with me, the day of his Funeral would be shedding tears in the celebration. Grief arrived with me at the service and I recognized would travel many years on the road with me. The day of his Transition was planned and was Intentional to have the spirit of celebrating Todd’s presence and time here on earth with us and not to focus on the given that he would no longer spend another day with any heart in that room here on earth with us. Death is separation from our loved ones temporarily, my Faith is beyond a grave.
Again, This month of September is always intense and each year it seems to represent something different. My reflection for this share is centered on Todd’s Funeral, but for some, we called it a Celebration of Life, we celebrated the stories of him and times shared with him, it was laughter and of course tears but it was centered on his life, it was centered on him being here. He was here and for this heart that deserved celebration of who he was and the conversations and laughter and love shared with him.
My faith is that death is our spirit returning to our Creator, returning to God who gave us life, and in death, in transition, our spirit is separated from the Body, which I would describe as the Body Suit that allows us to reside on this earth. For this heart, I believe our spirit continues to live and we just separate from our loved ones here on this earth, but they, my loved ones, my dear friends, their spirits are still very much alive which is my belief, it is my Faith.
September Awareness Is Heart Intentional
This is not a share of how you should grieve when losing a loved one, nor how it should be for you or those who surround your life. This is not telling you to celebrate life at a Funeral service. This is not telling you what your belief should be regarding death, this share is my heart’s experience, it is my faith, it is not shared as a debate, it is shared for those who want to hear about the experience, whose hearts may share the vibe of that and have a kindred heart. If nothing else, you're welcome to just listening, just reading respectfully of another heart’s experience. We each have our own life’s journey to travel, to walk, to live out. We, you, me, all of us are accountable for our own decisions which include what we say and the actions we take. This is shared and many shares are presented as a Heart Buffet. Allowing You to decide what to do with it, what is an asset for your heart, and what is inspiring, and or encouraging to choose to take with you from this or any share. This Heart does not provide answers This Heart shares a perspective
September Awareness Is Heart Intentional
My thought is when you’re in a room like that and I recognize many hearts may have experienced Todd’s Funeral, in a very different way, I noticed in reflection especially while speaking, a room filled with a unique glare, a staring of the eyes while listening to the stories being shared, I conclude without the need to receive validation, those were eyes filled with thoughts of moments of celebrating a life individually loved, attending the death of someone that we know, that we loved, whose presence will be missed, and in the midst of all that was also reminding us all that it is a part of this Life’s Journey, and our Beliefs, our Philosophy, our loved ones, our dear friends, our possessions, will not and does not circumvent or eliminate our participation in being the honoree, of our own life-ending. A chapter from a book of life written that will close out from this earth. For this heart it helps to be transparent with those thoughts, to share out loud what we know but most choose not to talk about it for their own reasons. This train of thought for this heart allows the Gravitation to What Matters Daily, this allows a Focus to Exercise Gratitude Daily. It allows this Heart to travel with Knowing What Really Matters, It is this type of thought that allowed This Heart to Rob Regret by Living with Gratitude. Some say a Woman Sets The Tone for Her Home, I lived that when Todd was with us, we had numerous days of Love, Laughter and when not if, but when irritated or angry about something it simply meant allowing space for each other to gather our own thoughts until we could have a conversation about it. To Take a Pause of Silence and separate shared space.
September Awareness Is Heart Intentional
This was not perfected, this was a discipline, and it helped that we shared an understanding of the numerous years together and the experiences in that, changing the bar on nonsense, considering the possibilities of what our marriage was transitioning into, including our sons who were becoming older and independently finding their own ways of doing, which at the time meant our lives, our marriage would look different as they became older and what would that mean, understanding that we had to invest in the chapters of life looking different and our way of every day doing what needed to be done. This is an exercise, this is intentional living, this is a chosen exercise every single day, this is choosing peaceful silence especially when you don’t know what to say or how to respond, it is allowing the Heart to settle, Thoughts to be reigned in, to find Peace within, to listen to the options before the heart before just saying or just doing. This is personal work, it is looking for your own wholeness that is not completed by the role of someone else in your life, it is your own work to do.
September Awareness Is Heart Intentional
This is September Awareness 2022, the Ask is 3 things to choose from this year, all of which are on the September Awareness Page, the Intent of what is asked allows this Village to have a Further Reach, to go deeper, to go wider and it is not asked of just one, but asked of many to just choose an action for This September. My Heart appreciates you, Heart Traveling this Journey with me. Many of you since 2014 when this Village arrived online as a way to just share with each other, you can even read what was written in April 2014 on the About Page when it started online. September is a bookmark, it is an annual event for the Village, it allows a direction for This Heart and for This Village for Today and For the Hopeful tomorrow. Thank you for choosing an Action for “September 2022 Awareness Month” If this Village has been and is of Value that is a Blessing, that is building upon why the Work has been elevated, and why Seeds of Gratitude are Planted in numerous ways. Thank you for Hearing The Ask and for Choosing the Action You Will Take. September Hugs, Donyale

Where does worry get us?!
This heart understands that life offers us all real issues, challenges, and stresses, like you I’m traveling life’s journey with a hopeful heart for the road before me, an intentional focus on exercising to get the most out of this new day gifted to me. Where does worry get us?! This share is dedicated to the hearts who live “daily” overwhelmed, first, allow me to start with this is not associated with those with a medical condition or something that requires more than an inspirational post, this is the heart that relatively does not suffer in this area or has not been diagnosed with a form of anxiety issues. This is for the hearts that operate from just being worried, never enjoying what life offers in the small or big ways. Never locating the glass half full, always empty, and telling others about it.
Where does worry get us?!
My exercise is to build upon Peace Within, this is not just a cute phrase, but truly building within. There is power in exercising peace, it changes the view, it offers a perspective of possibilities and the calmness that is attached to this exercise allows the heart “no matter the issue” to see options to consider next steps. Exercising Peace within is a treasure it allows you to have a vision of what matters, which includes those we love and surround our life. This one line alone is not a small thing. Not often spoken “out loud” but not one of us will live forever, not one, and that should mean that we have a level bar, a heart measuring stick that allows us to consider in any given moment what matters. If we could operate in that realm it would change how we make decisions, and how we choose to respond.
Where does worry get us?!
Worry is a time robber. My theory is this, if worry can’t change “whatever” the issue may be, then consider using that same space, the time available to operate differently, exercising peace, gratitude, and even a peaceful “intentional” silence of just reflecting on what is good in your life. Same issue, a different approach, that for this heart matters, it means that “time is not robbed” or used up with stress levels that are attached to worry. It means not being locked in disruptive behavior or making bad decisions, or saying things that can be forgiven but not forgotten so easily. Where does worry get us?! This heart doesn’t share answers, sharing a perspective. Sharing what I choose to exercise daily. This is not about being easy, this is about “intentional focus” on what matters. Taking the reigns on the out-of-control emotions that knock on the heart, or whisper to engage in drama or play a part in confusion.
Where does worry get us?!
We all have our own choice to make, but time waits on no one and that should allow a pause on what to do with the time we are gifted. What is fulfilling in your life? What does bring you joy? What is your intent? Are you engaged in the day or most days drifting? Take the reigns on your emotions and decide whether it will be a day of worry or intentionally focused on what Heart Matters.
