A Heart Call to GOD

A Heart Call to God

The heart cries out to God,

“Lord, use me.

I am a warrior for Christ.

I will go north.

I will go south.

Wherever You send me, I will go.

Whatever You need me to do, I’m ready.”

And God answers.

  •  I need you to go to your neighbor and help them with their needs.

  •  I need you to volunteer in your community, serving those who are hurting and assisting those in need.

  • I need you to say “I’m Sorry” to the one whom you offended and intentionally hurt.

Then the line goes silent.

God calls again to the heart, “Are you still there?”

No response.

It seems the heart has disconnected.

How easy it is to say, “Send me,” when we imagine platforms, applause, and recognition.

But obedience tells a deeper story.

The true test comes in the hidden things—

the private surrender,

the quiet apology,

the unseen act of kindness,

the help given when no one is watching,

the service offered when no one will ever know.

Yet often, it is in those very moments that God is listening most closely.

Not when the crowd is watching. Not when the spotlight is shining. But when it is only you, your obedience, and God.

A heart surrendered to God does not only answer the big call— it answers the quiet one too. Because real faithfulness is not proven in what is public. It is proven in what is personal.

And sometimes the holiest words we can say are not, “Lord, send me somewhere far,” but simply, “Yes, Lord, I will do what You asked of me right here.”

Before God sends us across the world, He will often ask us to cross the street.

Are You Listening?
